Indulged in anti-social activities, 48 more people externed under Goondas Act in UP's Muzaffarnagar

As many as 48 more people were externed from the sensitive district under the Goondas Act to maintain peace here, an official said on Sunday.

Muzaffarnagar: As many as 48 more people were externed from the sensitive district under the Goondas Act to maintain peace here, an official said on Sunday.

Police has identified 48 more people for preventive action under the Goondas Act in the district.

Those booked under the Act belong to Bhopa Kakroli, Purkazi and Midanpur police station areas in the district, according to district magistrate D K Singh.

They have been externed from the district for different periods ranging from three to four months for allegedly indulging in anti-social activities, Singh said.

Last week, 36 people were externed from the district under the Act for allegedly indulging in anti-social activities.
