Minor raped, killed by youths in Uttar Pradesh

Bareilly: A minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered by two youths in Izzatnagar area here, police said on Saturday.

The accused, Amir and Haseen (both 20), have been arrested, Additional Superintendent of Police Sameer Saurabh said.

The eight-year-old girl was lured by the duo and taken to a secluded place where they raped here and later strangulated the victim to death yesterday, he said.

According to police, the crime occurred at a make-shift accommodation that belonged to a private security guard, working for a builder, and his wife.

The guard and his wife have also been detained, the ASP said.
