Lucknow: "I still believe myself to be part of Samajwadi Party even if I am not operating officially," expelled party leader Ram Gopal Yadav said on Monday as he broke down while defending corruption charges against him.

The Rajya Sabha MP was addressing a claimed that he was not greedy and said that if people believe him, justice must be done. 
 
"I am not greedy for power. If people believe that injustice has been done with me and believe on my innocence, justice must be done," he said. 

In an apparent reference to Shivpal Yadav without taking his name, Ram Gopal alleged that some people are illegally distributing Samajwadi Party's ticket for their ulterior motives. 

Ram Gopal Yadav was expelled from Samajwadi Party in October after Shivpal Yadav levelled some serious charged against him and claimed that he was working as a part of conspiracy in collusion with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)

Ram Gopal was serving as Uttar Pradesh general secretary and is said to be a close aide of Akhilesh Yadav.
