Bhadohi (UP): A 25-year-old woman allegedly immolated herself along with her two minor sons in Peepar village this morning, police said.
Sarita Tewari poured kerosene and set herself ablaze along with her sons Ganesh (4) and Kartikay (3), Circle officer Jitendra Dubey said.
The neighbours and family members rushed to rescue them but the trio had succumbed to their burn injuries by the time they could be taken out, Dubey said.
However, Tewari`s family members have alleged that her husband and in-laws have killed her for dowry and have lodged a case of murder in this connection, the officer said, adding, investigation in the case is on.
