Dehradun: Former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat on Friday accepted the Supreme Court's decision with humility, stating he will wait till final ruling.
Addressing the media soon after SC's decision, Rawat said, “This order is interim till April 27, because SC didn't have HC's judgement copy.”
“I respect the court order, we want the case to be discussed on merit. All in all, the state is facing a huge issue. Until SC makes a final judgement, President's rule can't be revoked,” he added.
"This decision will control the attempts to get a majority through back door and form a government that has no moral right to be there," Rawat said in a reference to the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party.
the Supreme Court on Friday stayed the Uttarakhand High Court order on lifting the President's Rule in the state till April 27.
HC judgement will be kept in abeyance till the next date of hearing.
Moreover, HC has been directed to provide the copy of judgement passed on April 21 to the parties by April 26 which shall also be placed before the apex court.
