North India reels under dense fog, intense cold
Temperatures in many parts of Jammu and Kashmir went below the freezing point, while cities like Ludhiana in the plains were colder than Shimla. Ludhiana saw a cold and foggy morning today with visibility dropping to less than 100 meters. Even Amritsar and Patiala in Punjab saw minimum temperatures reaching 4.1 and 3.4 degrees respectively.
