Kolkata: A fire broke out at the premises of Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (EAST) here on Wednesday, but no casualty or injury was reported, an official said.
"At least 11 fire tenders have been engaged. The fire will be controlled soon," said a fire department official.
Located in Salt Lake city, the satellite township of Kolkata, the building was evacuated after the fire broke out in the morning.
In a letter to the management of NIT Srinagar dated April 4, the outstation students have listed five demands that, they feel, would enable them to peacefully reside at the campus and concentrate on their studies.
