A day after a Boeing 737 plane crashed in Kazan killing all 50 people on board, authorities are hunting for clues that could give answers to the reason behind the incident.

Moscow: A day after a Boeing 737 plane crashed in Kazan killing all 50 people on board, authorities continue to look for clues that could give answers to the reason behind the incident.

The authorities continue to look for the black box which is still missing. The recovery of the black box could give insight into the reasons due to which the jetliner crashed.

All passengers and crew on ill-fated plane perished after the plane tried to make an attempt to land at the airport at around 7:20 pm on Sunday and caught fire, a Russian official reportedly said.

There were 44 passengers and 6 crew members on the Tartarstan Airlines flight 363 that crashed.

The deceased included Irek Minnikhanov, the son of Tatarstan`s governor, and Alexander Antonov, who headed the Tatarstan branch of the Federal Security Service, the main successor agency to the Soviet-era KGB.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolence over the incident.

Mourning for those killed in the crash will take place today.
