10:30 pm: 14 still in hospital with serious injuries
Police Scotland Chief Constable Sir Stephen House has been quoted as saying that fourteen people are still in Glasgow hospitals with serious injuries.
The authorities do not know if people are still in the rubble or in the building.
9:40 pm: Scotland Police confirm 8 deaths
Eight people have died in the Glasgow helicopter crash, Scotland Police have said.
While all three of the occupants of the helicopter have been confirmed dead, 5 others died inside the building.

7:45 pm: Firefighters from all over Scotland carrying out rescue ops at the Clutha Vaults pub

7:15 pm: Labour MP Jim Murphy salutes the spirit of Glaswegians
Labour MP Jim Murphy was out at the scene of the crash on Friday doing all he could to help. He released a statement on his website, saying, "Today my thoughts are with those who are affected by the Glasgow helicopter crash as well as the emergency staff who responded so quickly, bravely, and brilliantly and who are still at the scene. Last night people did what is the human instinct and helped out until the emergency crews arrived. I did little in comparison to those others who did much more at the scene."
6:30 pm: British PM David Cameron pays tributes to victims
British PM David Cameron paid tributes to those affected by the crash, and tweeted, "My thoughts are with everyone affected by the helicopter crash in Glasgow - and the emergency services working tonight."
5:30 pm: Rescue on, Glasgow cancels St Andrews events
Rescue operations are on at full swing as reports state a massive presence of emergency services personnel at the site of the helicopter crash — The Clutha bar.
Glasgow Evening Times reports that St Andrews Day events have been cancelled and flags are flowing at half mast in the city.
4:45 pm: Glasgow Police begin investigation into the crash
Glasgow Police have said that two officers and a pilot were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash and more casualties are feared.
A minute's silence will be observed prior to kick off today as a mark of respect for those affected by last night's helicopter crash.

3:25 pm: Six people feared dead, toll expected to rise
The number of fatalities has risen to six. However, an official confirmation is yet to be made by the authorities, as per news reports.
3:15 pm: After crash, Scotland without a police helicopter
The crash has left the country’s national force without any operational helicopter as the ill-fated aircraft was the sole functional chopper, according to the Telegraph news report.
3:00 pm: Death toll expected to rise further
While at least three people have been killed in the helicopter crash, authorities have said that the toll is expected to increase further, as per a BBC report.
1:20 pm: 32 people rushed to hospitals
Around 32 people have been rushed to various hospitals for treatment, BBC reported. However, several people still continue to be trapped inside the building.
12:45 pm: Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond tweets, “Emergency services are in full operation”
Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond had earlier tweeted that emergency services are in full operation at the crash site. He further tweeted, “Given an incident of this scale we must all prepare ourselves for the likelihood of fatalities.”
12:20 pm: Several people are still trapped in the building
Firefighters were able to establish contact with several people who are still inside the pub.
Eyewitnesses claimed that several people were taken to the hospital. Rescuers are trying to stabilise the building to free people who are trapped inside.
11:10 am: Three people feared dead
At least three people have been feared dead, reports claim.
10:45 am: Rescue operation on
At least 125 firefighters were rushed to the spot. Operations are on to rescue people still trapped inside the pub.
10:15 am: The helicopter dropped on the roof like a stone: Eyewitnesses
Eyewitnesses said that there was no explosion when the helicopter crashed into the roof of the pub.
Several images of the incident showed the propeller of the helicopter sticking out of the pub’s roof.
9:45 am: Authorities fear casualties, no deaths reported yet
Three people were on board when the helicopter crashed. Around 120 people were present in The Clutha pub at the time of the incident.
While the authorities fear ‘numerous’ casualties, police have not confirmed if anyone has died in the incident yet.
9:15 am: Police helicopter crashes into a popular club
A police helicopter Eurocopter EC135 T2 crashed into a popular club in Stockwell Street at 10:25 pm on late Friday triggering fear of fatalities.
The incident took place when the helicopter crashed through the roof of The Cluth when people inside the club were listening to the live performance of Ska band Esperanza.
