Washington: Republican presidential aspirant Bobby Jindal on Sunday lashed out at the economic policies of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton alleging that they would swallow the private sector and make government stronger.
"It is gonna be more taxes, more government spending, more regulations. It is feeding a greedier and greedier government that is gonna swallow up the private sector. There is never enough money or power for the government according to the Left," 44-year-old Jindal told the Fox News.
Jindal, a two-term Governor of Louisiana, is the first Indian American to declare his candidacy for US presidential elections. Running for the 2016 presidential elections, Jindal is pitted against more than a dozen formidable Republican presidential candidates. He has a tough task ahead of the primaries next year.
The presidential candidate noted that Clinton is no different from Bernie Sanders, another Democratic presidential candidate.
"At least Bernie Sanders calls himself a socialist," he said.
The Louisiana Governor argued that the United States should not copy the economic mistakes of Greece.
"Greece gave us democracy, now they are showing us how to kill it. Let us not go down that same path," he said.
