Amsterdam: Even as the international experts had to postpone their trip to the crash site of MH17 due to clashes between Ukrainian troops and pro-Russian forces, the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte reportedly said that that securing the site by international military force is “unrealistic.”
Rutte`s reaction came shortly after the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) investigators had to cancel their plan to examine the crash site in eastern Ukraine in the wake of escalating fighting in the region.
However, Australia and Netherlands are still planning to go ahead with the deployment of 49 police officials in a joint operation at the site after a deal was stuck with Malaysia.
The site is currently in control of pro-Russian rebels who shot down the plane killing 298 people on board.
Meanwhile, heavy fighting continued in the areas of Donetsk and Luhansk as government troops try to regain the rebel-held areas.
The Ukrainian government has said that the forces are moving towards the areas near the crash site to free it from the hold of rebels so that international inspectors can work their without any security threat.
The US reportedly released images states that Russia is providing arms to the pro-Russian rebels and released images showing impact from firing and craters stating that it fired multiple rocket launchers, according to the US Department of State.
