Tunis: More shocking details of the Tunisia terror attack have emerged with eyewitnesses Paul Short revealing that the Islamic State gunman “took photographs of the bodies and was laughing.”

Describing their ordeal in an interview on 'Good Morning Britain', Paul said that they initially thought that the gunfire shots were actually fireworks until they saw the gunman shooting people on the beach.

Paul immediately asked people on the beach to get inside and rushed his wife to the safety of the hotel room.

During the interview, he revealed that once it was “quiet”, he went out and helped a man who was wounded while the gunmen was barely meters away from them.

“The gunman was busy, meanwhile with the gun on his back, with his phone, taking photographs of the bodies and laughing,” he said.

He had to break the news to the injured man that his wife was killed and with the help of another tourist, Keith, he moved her body.

The ex-Territorial soldier and his wife, Sarah Short, were staying at the hotel in Sousse when the gunman, identified as Seifeddine Rezgui, launched a terror attack which killed 38 tourists, including 30 Britons.

Islamic State took responsibility of the attack.
