New Delhi: Actress Alia Bhatt, who turned 25 on Thursday, celebrated her birthday in Bulgaria with her close friend and director of Brahmastra Ayan Mukherji and Neetu Kapoor (mother of Ranbir Kapoor). The actress is currently shooting for 'Brahmastra' in the country with Ranbir Kapoor.
Ayan hosted a special birthday dinner for Alia. According to a Pinkvilla report,“It’s Alia’s 25th birthday, so it’s a landmark year in that sense. Ranbir and Ayan want to make the day special for her, especially since she is away from home. So, they have planned a huge surprise party on the sets for the actress. To add to the fun, they have a particular theme for the bash."
Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, who was in Bulgaria, shared some pictures from Alia's birthday celebrations. Earlier, the actress had shared a candid picture of Alia from the sets and captioned it, "Birthday girl in her own world.” Neetu Kapoor's presence in Alia's birthday celebrations raised a lot of eyebrows as Alia Bhatt is rumoured to be dating Ranbir Kapoor.
However, in an interview to a leading daily, Alia broke her silence on dating Ranbir.The actress said, "Even I get really confused when I read such things, but I strongly believe that 'silence is golden'. It's not as if I'm never going to have a personal life. I will and I do have one, but I feel its called 'personal' for a reason. That's why it will always stay close to me."
As per reports, Brahmastra is being shot on a budget that exceeds Rs 150 crore.
Recently, filmmaker Ayan Mukherji said in an event, "It's the biggest project of my life. All my hopes are pinned on this film. I hope it becomes the biggest success... I am very excited about the cast but I hope the film gets even bigger than the cast."
Apart from Alia and Ranbir, Brahmastra also features Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role and has been produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. It is scheduled to release on August 15, 2018.
