New Delhi: Famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has denied the claims of his arrest being reported at the Dubai airport on Monday. As per initial reports by Pakistani media, it was said that he has been held on the complaint filed by his former manager Salman Ahmed. However, the iconic singer released a video on social media dismissing such rumours.

RAHAT FATEH ALI KHAN ARRESTED?

Earlier, it was reported that he remained stuck at the Dubai airport for hours. The singer had visited the country UAE for his performance but was taken into police custody at the immigration centre and taken to the Burj Dubai police station for questioning, GeoTV said.

It has been learnt that the Pakistani singer had dismissed his manager Salman Ahmed a few months earlier following a dispute.

RAHAT FATEH ALI KHAN'S NEW VIDEO

In the fresh video posted by the singer, Rahat has quashed the reports of his arrest as 'fake' and assured his fans that he was doing well and eager to go back home soon. He also hinted at a new song release on his return. 

The legendary singer's official social media handle posted the above video with the caption reading: News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless.

In the video, he can be seen seated comfortably at the picturesque backdrop of Dubai beaches from his hotel balcony (presumably). "I came to Dubai to record a song. Some malicious reports are circulating about my arrest. Please do not believe them", he said.
