New Delhi: Bollywood's power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone hosted a grand reception party for their industry friends in Mumbai's Grand Hyatt hotel on December 1. The who's who of Bollywood joined them in their celebration but amongst all the attendees what caught our attention was Anushka Sharma's stunning appearance and Ranbir Kapoor's absence.
Anushka left many tongues wagging when she showed up in a breathtaking silver bodycon gown for DeepVeer reception. Not many would know, Anushka and Ranveer were rumored to be dating back in their Band Baaja Baraat days. Although they never spoke about their relationship, there was immense buzz about their fallout. Ranveer made his big Bollywood debut opposite Anushka Sharma in Band Baaja Baraat. It was Anushka's second film after her big debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor, who is on friendly terms with his ex-Deepika Padukone, was conspicuous by his absence. All the eyes hoped to see Ranbir at his ex's reception was nowhere to be seen. Along with him, his rumored girlfriend Alia Bhatt was also missing from the big night. The reason for their absence is not known yet but there were reports that claimed that the duo is busy shooting for their upcoming film Brahmastra hence could not attend DeepVeer reception.
Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot on November 14, away from the prying eyes of the media, at Lake Como in Italy.
