Mumbai: One of Bollywood’s most ideal couples – Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan – shocked their fans by announcing their separation early this year and now reports suggest that the duo has filed for divorce to dissolve seventeen years of marriage!
According to a report in India Today, Malaika, who had moved out of Arbaaz’s house after issuing a statement to confirm separation a few months ago, was spotted with her estranged husband outside a family court in Bandra. The two, who opted for the legal route based on mutual consent, also attended the first counselling to obey the protocol that gives a couple six months time to rethink.
A lot has been speculated about their separation. It was earlier reported that Malaika’s friendship with Arjun Kapoor invited trouble while it was also being believed that the lady wanted Arbaaz to be independent and not be in his brother Salman Khan’s shadow forever.
The Bollywood superstar and his family tried to make peace between the couple but their efforts failed to bear fruits, reports suggest.
Malaika and Arbaaz have a fourteen-yeaar-old son named Arhaan.
