Mumbai: One of Indian TV’s most popular actors and former Bigg Boss contestant Gaurav Chopra recently tied the nuptial knot with fiancée Hitisha Cheranda. The wedding which took place in Delhi was a private affair with just family and a few friends in attendance. Interestingly, his former ladylove Narayani Shashtri and her husband Steven Graver were invited for the ceremony.
Narayani, who is also a popular TV actress maintained a friendly relationship with Gaurav even post breakup. Though she had been invited to the ceremony, she couldn’t attend it because she was shooting on that day.
After dating Narayani, Gaurav was seeing Mouni Roy. The two were together for almost a couple of years but their relationship went kaput thereafter.
Explaining why Gaurav and Mouni’s relationship ended, Narayani, while talking to a leading entertainment portal said, “They were not meant to be together. They two had drastically different temperaments. Mouni is a very sweet girl. But dekha jaye toh it eventually didn’t work out between Gaurav and me too na? But yeah, Mouni and Gaurav ended it differently. I want to be friends with Gaurav, but may be Mouni doesn’t think that way. But it’s ok na? Different people think differently.”
Hitisha and Gaurav exchanged marital vows on February 18 after getting engaged on Valentine’s Day.
On their special day, Gaurav looked dapper in a traditional white sherwani with maroon velvet overall shawl and the bride looked resplendent in a red lehenga-choli.
Among the handful on invitees were TV couple Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal.
