New Delhi: We all know how health takes a backseat for our celebs who are travelling around the clock keeping their work commitments in place. But, it seldom strikes us that health is and must be a top priority for one and alike.
Similarly, while the entire glittering line of Bollywood who's who was in IIFA this year, veteran actor Anupam Kher had a health scare reportedly. According to dnaindia.com, unlike reports suggesting of a possible heart attack, turns out his sugar level had gone down instead.
And it was superstar Salman Khan, whose timely act worked wonders for Kher. Th report quotes Kher as saying, “Firstly, it was not a heart-related ailment, meaning a heart attack as the blind item in a tabloid implied. Why so coy about it? I’ve nothing to hide. We were all together in Salman Khan’s room in New York when I had a blackout. I had not eaten anything for one-and-a-half days — big mistake — and my sugar-level had gone down dangerously.”
He added, “He (Salman) called the paramedics, who rushed in immediately. The laws in the US about medical emergencies during international events are very strict. No one can take them lightly. I told the paramedics that I was okay, and didn’t need any further treatment. But they insisted on a full medical investigation.”
He further added that he is glad to have friends like Salman who's timely assistance helped him at the right hour.
