New Delhi: The much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 is all set to kick off and the country which eats, sleeps and breathes cricket is all gung-ho about the big sports event. The IPL opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 7, 2018, and Bollywood young gun Varun Dhawan will be seen performing.
The talented star shared a video on his Insta story where he can be seen prepping up for the big day. The actor is super excited to be performing live at the IPL ceremony and can be seen addressing the same in the video.

Varun is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films' (YRF) 'Sui Dhaaga', a film starring Anushka Sharma opposite the 'Judwaa 2' actor. Both Varun and Anushka have been paired together for the first time.
'Sui Dhaaga' is directed by 'Dum Lagake Haisha' fame Sharat Katariya. The film will be releasing on September 28, 2018. It promotes the 'Make In India' concept.
The IPL 2018 is more than a month long affair which begins from April 7 and will last till May 27, 2018 .
Reportedly, other Bollywood stars too will make the IPL opening ceremony a starry event. Ranveer Singh, who is nursing an injured shoulder might have to give it a skip this year but several other names from the Hindi film industry have been doing the rounds.
