7th Pay Commission latest update: The central government employees, who have long been pressing for the demand to hike the fitment factor, may hear some good news related to the same soon. The government is considering to raise the fitment factor, and it can approve the same soon.

New salary if fitment factor increased

If the fitment factor is increased to 3.68, then your salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000X3.68 = 95,680).

Check your pay band

Right now, if your minimum salary is Rs 18,000, then excluding allowances, you will be getting Rs 46,260 (18,000 X 2.57 = 46,260) according to the 2.57 fitment factor.

Employees demanding increase in fitment factor

The employees are demanding to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 times to 3.68 times. If the fitment factor is increased to 3.68 times, employees minimum basic pay will increase to Rs 26000.

The minimum basic pay would increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 26000. All allowances will be calculated on the basic pay of Rs 26000.
