BMW Concept XM previews company's only hybrid 'M' SUV; launch in 2022 - In Pics
For the first time since 1978, BMW will launch its bespoke 'M' SUV and the sports division's first hybrid SUV that has been previewed by unveiling the BMW Concept XM.
BMW has unveiled the Concept XM hybrid SUV to preview the upcoming SUV that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW's M division in 2022. This is only the second bespoke model in its history of BMW, first being the M1 launched in 1978. The large SUV will be BMW M’s first-ever electrified model (hybrid) model with a high-performance 4.4-litre petrol V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 740bhp. Essentially, the BMW XM is the X8 SUV if going by the BMW's naming convention. However, it will be sold solely as an M car and hence BMW XM. Check the images of the BMW Concept XM show car here.
