From Rakul Preet Singh's love for golf to her struggles in Bollywood, lesser-known facts about the actress!

Rakul has been playing golf since she was a teenager and has a deep love for the sport. In an earlier interview with HT, she had spoken about her love for golf. She said, "Both my brother Amanpreet and I were pretty serious about golf. I was good when I was 14, played to a single handicap, and competed on the junior circuit…even then I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to pursue as a career.”

Rakul Preet Singh studied at Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan. This is a lesser-known fact but she went on to take up Mathematics as part of her Undergrad programme at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. However, she always had ambitions to become an actress.

Her desire to act led her into modelling at the young age of 18 while she was still at University. Later, in 2009, she also bagged her acting debut in the Kannada film Gilli. Amusingly enough, she had only accepted the film offer as a way of earning a little extra money!

Rakul's performance in her debut film was a hit among audiences and she received critical acclaim for it as well. Then in 2011, while completing her degree, she took part in the Femina Miss India pageant.

As a fitness enthusiast, she owns a franchise of three training gyms called F45 Training. Two of the centres as in her hometown Hyderabad and another is located in Visakhapatnam.

Making it big in the film industry is not easy and every superstar now had once faced hurdles during their acting journey. Similarly, the stunning actress Rakul Preet who has thousands of fans going gaga over her was once told she had a generic face. Shocking, isn't it? In an interview with Pinkvilla, she had revealed, “Somebody told me ‘You are very good, you are really nice but the problem with you is that you have a generic face’.”
