Actress Alia Bhatt has collaborated with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on biographical crime-drama 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. The actress on Friday announced the fresh release date of the film. 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is all set to release theatrically on February 25, 2022.
The actress was seen in an ethnic ensemble donning a white kurta-palazzo and dupatta set. She teamed up the outfit with golden footwear and left her tresses lose. Alia was spotted wearing a bindi that complimented her look well.

'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is inspired by the life of Gangubai Kothewali, 'madam' of a brothel in Mumbai's Kamathipura, and is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book 'Mafia Queens Of Mumbai'. The film features Alia Bhatt in the title role of 'Gangubai', one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Mumbai's red-light area Kamathipura during the 1960s.
