Cold wave, rainfall in several states over next 7 days - check IMD's weather forecast

There seems to be no respite from the severe cold wave in Madhya Pradesh and the chill will continue till February 2, with the areas witnessing bone-chilling cold likely to see a rise in temperature gradually after one week, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted. Delhi is likely to receive light rainfall on February 3, the IMD's weekly forecast revealed on Friday. The maximum and minimum temperatures at the beginning of February are likely to settle at 20 and 10 degrees Celsius in the capital, respectively. IMD further said scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during February 2-4.  (Pic: ANI, file pic)

The winter chill is set to return to Odisha and some districts are likely to be in the grip of a cold wave, the India Meteorological Department said on Friday (Jan 28). Minimum temperatures will be 3-5 degrees Celsius below normal in many places in the next three days as northwesterly dry and cold winds are entering the state, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said in a bulletin.  (Pic: IANS; file pic)

Night temperatures remained several notches below the freezing point in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as the IMD forecasted dry weather during the next 72 hours in the two UTs.
