The farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day in Delhi took a violent turn as some protesters broke the police barricades and entered city which was not part of the proposed route for protest. Clashes erupted between protesters and police in some areas which left several people injured. The police resorted to lathicharge and fired teargas shells to disperse the protestors. As many as 22 FIRs have been registered against the rioters and additional military has been deployed in the national capital.
