Dusshera 2024: India Celebrates Festival In Grand Style, See PICS

This year, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a Dussehra programme organized by the Shri Dharmik Leela Committee at Delhi’s historic Red Fort.

  In Dwarka, Delhi, the Sri Ram Lila Society erected the tallest Ravana effigy in India, standing an impressive 211 feet high. This massive structure, which took over four months to construct, became the centerpiece of the Dussehra festivities in the area.

Uttar Pradesh witnessed the creation of a 100-feet tall Ravana effigy, along with a 90-feet tall Kumbhakaran and an 80-feet tall Meghnad, prepared for the grand Ravan Dahan during the Vijayadashami celebrations.

In Kanpur, a 90-feet tall Ravana effigy was installed, drawing large crowds eager to witness the symbolic destruction of evil on the occasion of Dussehra.

 Jalandhar, Punjab, showcased an array of effigies of Ravana, Meghnad, and Kumbhakaran, symbolizing the destruction of evil in a grand style.

  In Ranchi’s Argora area, residents enjoyed the festivities with the installation of an impressive Ravana effigy, showcasing the spirit of Dussehra.

 In Jammu, the traditional Ravan Dahan was performed as part of the Dussehra celebrations, where the effigies of Ravana and his kin were burned to signify the victory of good over evil.
