Among these military planes is the Embraer C-390 Millennium heavy lift cargo aircraft, which is the new generation military multi-mission airlift aircraft. As per the company, the plane brings unrivalled mobility, high productivity and operational flexibility at low operational costs. Now a report suggests that Embraer is pitching its C-390 to the Indian Air Force to increase its cargo transportation and troop movement capabilities. Currently, India is using cargo planes like C-130J Super Hercules from the United States and Ilyushin Il-76 from the erstwhile Soviet Union.
