Centre lists bill to repeal farm laws in Parliament's legislative agenda
The government has listed a bill to repeal three farm laws in its agenda for the winter session of Parliament beginning November 29. The decision to repeal the three farm laws was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (November 19).
The Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 seeks to repeal the Farmers` Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance, Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.

'Powerful third COVID wave unlikely to hit India', says AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi Director Randeep Guleria has said that a third COVID-19 wave of magnitude comparable to the first two is unlikely to hit India. He, however, warned that the pandemic is not over yet and called for the need for everyone to strictly follow the COVID-appropriate behaviour.

BCCI treasurer dismisses reports about Team India’s 'halal' meat diet plan
Dismissing all the reports regarding Team India’s new dietary plan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) treasurer Arun Dhumal on Tuesday said that the board has not issued any such directive to players or support staff, and they are free to eat as per their choice. The reports earlier had claimed the national cricket board (BCCI) has banned beef and pork in any form in Team India’s new diet regime. It was also reported that the players are only allowed to consume meat in only ‘halal’ form.
