India closes in on 100 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses, but how many are fully vaccinated?
India has so far given more than 98.67 crore coronavirus vaccine shots.
In a few days from now, India will cross the landmark milestone of administering 100 crore COVID-19 vaccines doses. As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday (October 19) morning, more than 87 lakh coronavirus vaccine doses were administered on Monday that took the country's overall vaccination coverage to 98.67 crores.

Healthcare and frontline workers
Over 1.03 crore Healthcare workers (HCWs) have taken their first doses while more than 90 lakh have taken the second dose. On the other hand, 1.83 crore frontline workers (FLWs) have taken the first dose and 1.55 crore have been inoculated with the second dose of vaccination.
This is noteworthy that the countrywide vaccination drive was rolled out on January 16 this year with HCWs getting inoculated in the first phase. The vaccination of FLWs had then started from February 2.
