India lockdown amid coronavirus COVID-19 scare: Day 3 in pics

Today is day three of the nation-wide lockdown which was called on by Prime Minister Narendra Modi beginning midnight of March 25 till April 14. PM Modi assured people that the lockdown in 21 days was in an effort to win the battle against coronavirus and emphasised that social distancing is the only way to prevent the spread of disease at present. In India, the death toll due to coronavirus rose to 17 and the number of cases surged to 724, as per Union Health Ministry.
