India lockdown amid coronavirus COVID-19 scare: Day 47 in pics

India is facing the worst wave of coronavirus outbreak as the COVID-19 confirmed cases have spiked sharply over the past few weeks. The total number of COVID-19 infections in the country has increased to 62,939 while more than 2,100 people have succumbed to the virus, according to the Union Health Ministry data on its website on Sunday.
There were over 3,277 confirmed cases and 128 deaths in the last 24 hours across the country. India's recovery rate stands at 30.75 percent.

Indian Navy's Mission Sagar
As part of the Indian govt's outreach amid the COVID-19 scare, Indian Naval Ship 'Kesari' departed for Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar, and Comoros, to provide food items, COVID-19 related medicines including HCQ tablets and special ayurvedic medicines with medical assistance teams embarked. This deployment as ‘Mission Sagar’, is in line with India’s role as the first responder in the region and builds on the excellent relations existing between these countries to battle the COVID-19 pandemic and its resultant difficulties.
