On day 6 of the nation-wide lockdown called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi the roads across the country stood deserted and sanitization process was being carried out at several places as a preventive measure to avoid spread of coronavirus. As per the Union Health Ministry latest data the total number of cases in India are at 1071, including 942 active cases, 99 recovered cases, 1 migrant patient and the death toll at 29.

PM Modi had assured people that the lockdown beginning midnight of March 25 till April 14 was in an effort to win the battle against coronavirus and emphasised that social distancing is the only way to prevent the spread of disease at present.
