Indian Railways deploys over 4000 COVID Care Coaches across India amid second wave of coronavirus - In pics
In Delhi, the Indian Railways has deployed 75 Covid Care coaches with a capacity of 1,200 beds.
The Ministry of Railways has deployed the COVID Care Coaches to the worst-hit coronavirus places like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
Indian Railways' Covid Care coaches
Amid the raging second wave of coronavirus, the Indian Railways has deployed over 4000 COVID Care Coaches with a capacity of 64,000 beds across India.
As per the Ministry of Railways' data on April 26, these facilities are seeing a steady intake registering a cumulative admission of 81 COVID-19 patients and their subsequent discharge of 22 patients. None of the facilities has registered any casualties.

In Delhi, the Railways has deployed 75 Covid Care coaches with a capacity of 1,200 beds. 50 coaches are positioned at Shakurbasti and 25 coaches at Anand Vihar stations. During the first COVID-19 wave in 2020, more than 850 patients were admitted and discharged at the Shakurbasti facility.
