Teacher teaches few students in classroom

New Delhi: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools had remained shut and held online classes to keep the children safe from the virus. On January 1, schools in several states including Karnataka, Kerala and Assam have decided to reopen their schools to physical education. Although the turnout was good in Kerala and Karnataka, schools in Assam saw a very low tunout.

Teachers dance after school reopens in Assam

Schools reopened for all classes in Assam but no children attended the first day. "Not a single student came to school today. Since we've to stay till the end of the day, we decided to do some recreation among ourselves," says Principal-in-charge, Gopal Boro Govt Hr. Sec School in Ganeshguri area of Dispur to ANI.
