India registered their most successful Olympic campaign at Tokyo, where the country secured seven medals - 1 gold, 2 silvers, and 4 bronze.

Olympic bronze medalist Bajrang Punia was India's flag bearer at the closing ceremony at the Tokyo 2020 as the showpiece event came to a close on Sunday. IOC President Thomas Bach led the closing ceremony putting an end to the Olympics, which was held amidst a raging pandemic.  

India registered their most successful Olympic campaign at Tokyo, where the country secured seven medals - 1 gold, 2 silvers, and 4 bronze. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, wrestler Ravi Kumar, weight-lifter Mirabai Chanu, wrestler Bajrang Punia, shuttler PV Sindhu, boxer Lovlina Borgohain and the Indian men's hockey team won medals in Tokyo.
