Babar met PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi and accepted the offer. PCB's selection committee had put faith in Babar and had asked him to lead the side again. The fact that Babar led Pakistan to semifinals in T20 World Cup 2021 and finals of 2022 World Cup must have pushed selectors and PCB to ask him to lead again.
