Pakistan endured a blow right before their sereies against New Zealand was about to start, when the Kiwis abandoned the tournament citing security reasons. The decision was a shocker for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who failed to convince the Kiwis to continue with the series despite assuring them of foolproof security.
Soon after the cancelation of the series, newly-appointed PCB chairman Ramiz Raja took to Twitter and threatened to drag the matter to ICC. However, what is more interesting is to see how England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) react to the development. As of now, ECB has sought for 24-48 hours to decide, whether they will take part in the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan before playing the World Cup in UAE and Oman.

2010 Bangalore blasts
At least 10 people were wounded when two bombs exploded outside Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium. The incident took place before the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians was due to start. However, the contest was played as per the schedule but RCB's fixture for the remainder of the season were moved out of Bangalore.
Quetta Gladiators' foreign recruits refuse to play in Lahore
The 2017 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) saw a host of foreign players refused to travel to Lahore for the final citing safety fears.
Five Quetta Gladiators players – Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright, Rilee Rossouw, Tymal Mills and Nathan McCullum – then refused to play in Pakistan over security fears.

Gaddafi Stadium attack in 2009
The incident shook the world as terrorists opened fire at Sri Lanka's team bus, while they were on the way to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. It was the third morning of the second Test at Lahore. The attack, which saw no countries tour to Pakistan for several years, saw five Sri Lankan players, including captain Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, injured. Apart from the team members sustaining injuries, six security personnel and two civilians were also killed in the attack.

Christchurch mosque attack in 2019
Two years ago, New Zealand faced one of it's worst attack in its history as attackers launched a fatal shooting at a mosque and claimed the lives of at least 49 people. The Bangladesh cricket team at the moment were on a tour to the country and as reported made a narrow escape during the attack.
