Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1 of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday.
Mumbai Indians became the first side to qualify for this season's playoffs after finishing at the top of the points table with nine wins from 14 league stage fixtures.Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, rebounded strongly following their four consecutive defeats to beat RCB by 6 wickets in their final league stage fixture and make a second-place finish in the standings.

Mumbai Indians have made three changes in their Playing XI for the all-important clash against the Delhi Capitals. Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya have all returned in place of James Pattinson, Dhawal Kulkarni and Rahul Tiwary.

Mumbai Indians made a superb start to their defence of 201-run target by reducing Delhi Capitals to 0/3 inside two overs. While Prithvi Shaw fell for a duck after being caught behind the wicket by Quinton de Kock on the second delivery of the first over by Trent Boult, Ajinkya Rahane too departed without scoring any run after being trapped leg before wicket on the fifth ball.
