Glenn Maxwell is one of the most destructive batsmen in the history of Australian cricket. He can hit the sixes with ease and does not require time to settle. He is the kind of player who can change the course of the game in the span of a few deliveries. Largely considered as the backbone of Australian cricket, Maxwell has notched up a total of 462 runs at an average of 42 in 16 matches played this year. However, his inconsistent form in limited-overs cricket in the past few years can prove to be a serious concern for the Australian team in the ongoing T20I series against India. Rohit Sharma has played a total of 80 T20Is and struck 96 sixes, which is the most by any Indian in this format. He currently stands at the second place in the list of highest run-getters in the shortest format of the game with a total of 2,207 runs from 87 matches he has played so far. The Indian opener is currently trailing New Zealand's Martin Guptill by 64 runs. Karthik is currently playing as a wicketkeeper-batsman in T20Is in the absence of former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. If he fails to prove himself as a batsman, the chances of Karthik losing his place to Rishabh Pant can be on the cards. With KL Rahul, Manish Pandey and Rishabh Pant also competing for middle-order positions in the T20I side, Karthik needs to showcase his batting skills in Australian conditions. With both Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan present in the team, the chances of  KL Rahul opening the innings for India in the ongoing T20I series against Australia are slim. In 2018, batting at number four, Rahul managed to score a century and a couple of fifties in T20Is. He was allotted the No 4 in the Indian batting order during the opening clash against Australia at "The Gabba". However, he is more than capable of making his presence felt in any role. Rishabh Pant failed to click with the bat in the first two T20Is against West Indies and faced a lot of criticism for the same.
