New Zealand defeated South Africa by a margin of four wickets in a thrilling clash in Birmingham. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson scored a century which was further supported by a quick-fire half-century scored by all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme. New Zealand continue to be unbeaten in the tournament and will look to maintain the form in the upcoming clashes.

New Zealand have been restricted to 80 runs for the loss of four wickets having been in a strong position initially at 72 for 1. Kane Williamson is still out there in the middle and will look to rebuild the innings alongside Jimmy Neesham.

New Zealand have reached a score of 43/1 at the end of the first powerplay following the dismissal of Colin Munro. Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson will be looking to rebuild the innings and lead the side on to a strong position.

New Zealand openers Martin Guptill and Colin Munro are set to kickstart the chase of 242 runs. South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is set to open the bowling and will look to strike early.

New Zealand need 242 runs to win after South Africa posted a total of 241 runs for the loss of six wickets within their allotted 49 overs. Rassie van der Dussen was the top-scorer remaining unbeaten on 67 while Lockie Ferguson was the highest wicket-taker for New Zealand with three wickets.

South Africa have scored 145 runs for the loss of four wickets against New Zealand at the end of 35 overs. The Proteas will be looking to ensure a strong finish to the innings, setting them up for a defendable total. 

Proteas opener Quinton de Kock was dismissed for 5 runs off 8 deliveries following a yorker by New Zealand pace bowler Trent Boult. The wicketkeeper-batsman has been in good form for South Africa in the tournament making his dismissal all the more crucial.  

Pace-bowler Matt Henry is set to bowl the opening over of the innings for New Zealand. South African openers Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock will start the innings at the top of the order in a must-win clash.

The clash is set to get underway shortly at Edgbaston, Birmingham with players from both the sides on the field for the national anthem ceremony.
