Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ring the ceremonial Eden Gardens bell alongwith West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to inaugrate India's first-ever Day-Night Pink Ball Test match against Bangladesh on Friday. The Bangladesh Prime Minister stayed to watch the first session of the first day of the historic match. India, who are currently ranked at the top spot in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings, became the ninth country to play under lights in the longest format of the game.
Mamata Banerjee presents gift to Sheikh Hasina
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee presented a potrait of Mujibur Rahman to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occassion of India's first-ever Day Night pink ball Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the first president of Bangladesh before he served as the prime minister of Bangladesh from April 17, 1971 till he was assassinated on August 15, 1975.
