Australia finally emerge victorious by a margin of 86 runs, further strengthening their position on top of the points table. Pacer Mitchell Starc finishes with five wickets, recording his second five-wicket of the ICC World Cup 2019.

New Zealand need 100 runs off 53 deliveries with just one wicket in hand following a fine performance by the Australian bowling attack led by Mitchell Starc. 

New Zealand have reached 108/3 at the end of 30 overs with 136 runs needed for victory. Openers Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls were dismissed for 20 and 8 runs respectively following a fine performance by pace-bowler Jason Behendroff who accounted for the duo. 

Australia have set a total of 244 runs to win for New Zealand after being restricted to 92/5 at one stage. Trent Boult finishes with four wickets, becoming the first New Zealand cricketer to pick a hat-trick in an ICC World Cup clash. 

Kane Williamson accounts for the dismissal of Alex Carey who had stitched a partnership in excess of 100 runs of Usman Khawaja, with Australia reaching 200/6 in the 44th over. Both the sides will be looking to ensure a strong finish to the innings. 

New Zealand are in the driver's seat at this stage of the innings having dismissed Glenn Maxwell for a duck following a stunning catch of Jimmy Neesham. Team Australia are down by five wickets with Alex Carey and Usman Khawaja the last recognised pair.

Australia reach 68/3 at the end of 16 overs with New Zealand on top at this stage of the innings. Marcus Stoinis and Usman Khawaja will be looking to stitch a partnership at this stage, setting the stage for a strong total.  

New Zealand are off to a strong start in the early overs of the innings. Colin de Grandhomme has conceded just six runs from his just first three overs of the innings with two maidens. Trent Boult, on the other hand, has claimed the key wicket of Aaron Finch.

Australian skipper Aaron Finch has won the toss and opted to bat. Henry Nicholls and Ish Sodhi replace Colin Munro and Matt Henry in the New Zealand lineup while the Australian side remains unchanged for the clash.
