Since his return to Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has been enjoying imperious form, scoring goals at will. What we learn now is that the talismanic striker is the highest paid footballer of 2021, earning $15 million more than his sporting rival Lionel Messi.   

Ronaldo, who has more than a half-billion followers on social media (Facebook 149 million, Instagram 344 million and Twitter 94.3 million), reclaimed the top honours in the list released by Forbes, one of the most popular business magazine, on Tuesday.
