Earlier, a member of the Chennai Super Kings' content team tested positive for the virus and was put under isolation.
Moreover, defending champions Mumbai Indians on Tuesday (April 6) confirmed that their scout and wicket-keeping consultant Kiran More tested positive for COVID-19.
The former Indian cricketer is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated as per the health guidelines issued by BCCI.
Earlier in the day, two ground staff members and one plumber tested positive for coronavirus at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Given the current situation, it won’t be wrong to say that IPL 2021, which is set to commence from April 9, has been rocked by the novel virus even before the first ball of the tournament has been bowled.
