List Of Oldest Indian Cricketers To Score A Hundred In-home

India’s veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin hammered a century in the ongoing first Test between India and Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

This was Ashwin’s second hundred in Chennai which happens to be his home ground also. On the back of this hundred, Ashwin holds the fourth spot in the list of oldest Indian players to make a century.

Former India cricketer Vijay Merchant scored a century when he was 40 years and 21 days old against England in 1951.

One of the greatest batters that India has ever produced, Rahul Dravid hit a ton when he was 38 years and 307 days old against West Indies in 2011.

Vinoo Mankad smashed a hundred against New Zealand when he was 38 years and 269 days old back in 1956.

In 1955, Mankad also collected a century against New Zealand when he was 38 years and 234 days old.

Ravichandran Ashwin reached the feat by scoring a hundred, aged 38 years and two days old against Bangladesh in 2024.
