It was on this day, last year (August 15, 2020), when World-Cup winning captain MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket.
Former India wicket-keeper batsman Dhoni played 350 ODIs with his highest score being 183 against Sri Lanka. He also remains the only captain to win all major ICC trophies (50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup, and Champions Trophy).
Also referred to as 'Captain Cool', Dhoni is known for his calmness and exquisite captaincy on the field. However, off the field, MSD is an extremely private person and mostly remains away from all the limelight. Moreover, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman has built himself a house that perfectly suits his nature.
Dhoni has always believed in connecting with his roots and therefore, he constructed a luxurious property in Ranchi, his birthplace, where he spends quality time with his family and his pets while avoiding any hustle and bustle.
The huge property, which took three years to build, is spread across seven acres and is situated at Ranchi’s Ring Road. It boasts of everything grand and fancy, catering well with the former India captain’s personality.
As Dhoni completes a year of international retirement, we take a virtual tour of his luxurious home.
