The Bollywood actress also praised her boyfriend and Indian badminton team coach Mathias Boe on the historic win.

He won the silver medal at the 2006 European Championships in men's doubles with Carsten Mogensen. In 2010, Mogensen and Boe won the titles at the Denmark and French Opens. He won the Superseries Final held in Taipei. Mogensen and Boe won the All England Open. With Mogensen, he won the silver medal in the men's doubles at the 2012 Olympics. He took the silver medal with Mogensen in the 2013 World Championships while losing to Muhammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan in the final. Boe announced in February 2020, that the Thomas Cup or Olympic Games would be his last tournament, but in April 2020, he decided to retire as a professional badminton player at the age of 39. He revealed that, mentally, he is lately simply too exhausted both in training and competition. He is the men's doubles coach for the Indian National Badminton team presently.
