Top Five Bowlers To Take Most Number Of Wickets In The Duleep Trophy

One of the most prestigious tournaments of the Indian domestic circuit, the Duleep Trophy 2024-25 started on September 5, 2024. 

The ongoing edition is of immense importance as a lot of cricketers will be eyeing a spot in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh later this month.

Many players have exploited this prestigious tournament by scalping the most wickets. Here’s a look at the top 5 bowlers who have taken the most wickets in the Duleep Trophy.

Playing for Central Zone, former India spinner Narendra Hirwani picked up 126 wickets in 29 games and holds the top spot in the list of highest wicket-takers in the history of the Duleep Trophy.

Domestic stalwart Sairaj Bahutule represented West Zone and scalped 112 wickets in 30 games. 

BS Chandrasekhar played for South Zone where he collected 99 scalps in 24 matches. 

Yet another player from South Zone made his way to the list, S Venkataraghavan, who snapped 95 wickets in 26 games. 

EAS Prasanna holds the fifth spot as he gathered 83 wickets in 24 matches.
