Mako, the 29-year-old niece of Emperor Naruhitogot got engaged to her former college classmate Komuro, 29, in 2017.
There will be no wedding ceremonies that accompany a royal marriage. “Their marriage is not fully supported by the public because of a financial dispute involving her future mother-in-law,” the palace announced Friday (October 1).
