War and pics: From tanks to rocket launchers, a look at destroyed military vehicles in Ukraine
Footage filmed across the war-torn country also shows parts of Ukrainian cities reduced to rubble by Russian strikes.
The fighting between the Russian and Ukrainian forces has entered its 13th day on Wednesday (March 9, 2022) with the United Nations verifying over 1,300 civilian casualties in Ukraine, including more than 450 killed and around 850 injured so far.
Nearly two weeks into the war, the number of refugees created by the biggest assault on a European country since World War II has now also surpassed 2 million.
While Russian President Vladimir Putin calls the campaign he launched on February 24 a "special military operation" to disarm Ukraine and remove leaders it describes as neo-Nazis, Ukraine and its Western allies call this a transparent pretext for an invasion to conquer the nation.
Meanwhile, footage filmed across the war-torn country shows burnt-out wreckage of tanks and armour. They also show several parts of Ukrainian cities reduced to rubble by Russian strikes.
Here's a look at some of the destroyed military vehicles in Ukraine.

Ukraine's military, on the other hand, claims to have killed more than 12,000 Russian soldiers since the fighting started on February 24. The military also claims that their troops have shot down or destroyed as many as 48 Russian airplanes and 80 helicopters.
They have also stated that they have captured or destroyed more than 300 tanks and hundreds of mechanized vehicles and cars, taken out two Russian naval vessels and blown up dozens of fuel tanker and mobile missile launching systems. (Photo: Reuters)
